PICTURE DAY

Bath Time Baby

Well, here is Abe during his favorite time of the day "Bath Time." Now that wiggle worm can sit up bath time is a lot easier.

I never knew it could be so fun to dress baby. We have many wardrobe changes and Abe likes everything I pick out for him.

TODAY

Today Billy, Abe, and Bernie took a family picture. Went to Dothan had lunch. Then around 3:00 the day fell apart with a little screaming. Oh well the day started off good!!!

FOOD

Do not tell the Pediatrician that Abe had his first "food" this evening. Did I mention Abe loved his peas, however I have a feeling we will have to strip him down and feed him in a diaper!!! The question is were there more peas on Abe and his Gram than Abe's tum tum.

YEP HE IS

Sorry I know I say it over and over and it may get old, but Abe is the cutest baby in the world. This is Abe at the beach he lasted about 30 minutes at the pool.

By the way bring your Muffy with you to the pool she will follow you around with an umbrella so your baby (that has on 70 sunscreen) will not get burnt.

BABY SITTERS

So I am loosing my built in baby sitter (Muffy) tomorrow. What is a girl to do with out a baby sitter!!! These are the times when I wish I lived close to the rents so I could have a baby sitter whenever needed.

So Abe this week it is me and you buddy!!!!

ARMPIT

Waxing is great, it removes hair and you do not have to shave for weeks. But what about when you have to let that hair grow out 1/4 inch to wax. Well, that is my armpit right now trying to reach that 1/4th of inch....sorry I know it is gross especially when I ware a tank top!!! Sorry friends and family just don't look until next week by then i will be hair free!!!!

Billy and Abe

Abe went to bed at 9 last night and woke at 7:30!!!! Yeah Abe.

ITS NOT THE CEREAL

Everyone will let you know why your baby is not sleeping. Mine was not sleeping for the following reasons:

1.) not enough food

2.) gas

3.) mean mommy

4.) does not like his crib

5.) needs a pillow

6.) mean mommy

7.) he needs formula

Guess what none of the above are true. Your baby will eventually sleep thought the night when he or she wants to or needs to, or when the parents finaly let the baby sleep through the night. However, I strongly advise putting your baby in the crib when it is time to sleep!!!

THE DOG AGAIN

So Thursday night I hear barking underneath my house around 7:00 p.m. (do i need to remind you this is crabby time at my house and the last thing i need to deal with is my mothers dog). Milo has gone underneath my house and has lost his way.

My mother wants me to call the fire department to go underneath my house to get him (yeah right like i am going to do that, they only do that in cartoons mother). So we have a huge argument on who is going under the house.... NOT ME THERE ARE SNAKES CATS AND ALL KINDS OF CRAP, LEAVE THE DAM DOG UNDER THE HOUSE AND LET THE JACK ASS FIND HIS WAY OUT!!!!! "No" my mother says i will go.

So Phyllis goes under the house (did I mention Kitty went with her to keep her company) and tries to get the dog. Milo finaly finds his way to the front of the house (there is no way out at the front) so my mother rips the slats off the front of my house to let the jackass out!!!!

Did I mention I hate this dog!!!!

NEW FRIEND

Abe and his new buddy Mattie! Mattie came over with her parents to give Abe a baby gift. Abe likes his new friend and hopes she comes over to play more often.

CUTEST BABY IN THE WORLD

Yes, I know every parent thinks their baby is the cutest, however just to let you know my baby is the cutest!!!!

WITCHING HOUR

We have taken his temperature, given him a bath, fed him with a bottle, walked him up and down the stairs.... so on and so on!!! However nothing works. It is official I think Abe has colic. There is nothing you can do but to just let it happen and run its course.

"They say" that it lasts about 3 months well I have 5 weeks to go please keep me in your prayers!!!! Oh yeah keep Abe in your prayers also.

"BAPTISED"

Well now Abe has been baptised. I will have to say I was a nervous wreck. First the 8 (which became an 11 hour trip) hour trip, then I was nervous about the mass itself however, Abe was an angel.

Did I mention I had two glasses of champagne afterwords!!!! If you are nursing do not drink in front of people, because 500 people will ask you if it is OK to drink and nurse!!!! Yet, the correct response would be MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS BIATCH!!!!

OUT OF CONTROL

So for those of you that do not know my mother is having a "baptism" party for Abe this Sunday. I get home and this house looks like someone is getting married. There are flowers, tents, a caterer!!!! Oh my gosh who knew a baptism could be so fancy!!!

HMMM I wonder if my next child will have a fancy Baptism or do you think by that time my mom will be like "here are the chips and dip!"

LESSON IN BATH'S

So you may know that I have never taken care of a baby before (sorry Abe you are an experiment). When I give Abe a bath it is a 2 second affair. Wash head, tummy, butt, feet and back (I pore water over the pp I am afraid to touch it do not want to hurt him).

So yesterday Billy's mom helped me give Abe a bath!!! Just to let you know, you must scrub Mr. baby, use a q-tip in all crevices (between toes and fingers and any other crevice like place). Who knew..... I did not. Sorry Abe like I said you are an experiment.

THIRD TIMES THE CHARM

So today will be the last day I attempt wireless Internet in the Haskins house. I bought fancy new equipment and maybe now I can have fancy schmancy Internet!!! So wish me luck with the technology because I lack much knowledge when it comes to "technology."

Not only do I not get any sleep because I have a two week old but, my mother has asked me to keep her dog. He licks, barks, grunts and crys in his sleep!!! Did I mention he does this while I try to sleep as well.

My mother better pay me back big time for keeping this idiot!!!!

So today Abe had his first photo shoot. It was the worst thing I have ever been through. He cried the entire time and when he was not crying he was pooping (total of three times) on the photographers props or going number 1 on the photographers props. So after two hours of this nightmare I told her I was done and she said "I only have 15 pictures" I said "that is fine I can not take this any more of this."

I doubt Abe will be a model any time soon!!!

SUMO BABY

Well "Abe" can not wear his newborn diapers, new born baby clothes and he is almost out of his 0-3 month attire!!!!! Good thing I just ordered a bunch of 0-3 month items (I guess I will have to send it all back).

So for you ladies out there who think they might have big babies only get one new born out fit to go home in, and a couple of 0-3 and then when your baby is born see what kind of baby you have before you get a bunch of clothes.

However, isn't he cute!!! He takes after his Momma!!!!

Entourage

Well yesterday was Abe's first Dr. appointment. You will be pleased to know I was the only mother at the Drs. with an entourage (Muffy (Phyllis) & Gram (Linda billys mom)).

Report: Abe has already gained weight he is now 8lbs & 4 oz (yes I know what you are thinking I have a super baby don't be jellous).

HOT CROSS BUNS

It is that time of year again for one of my favorites, Hot Cross Buns!!! I love these little guys (I think it is the yeast, I love stuff with yeast).

The sad thing is no one around here sells them so I think this year I am going to try to make them myself. I will let you know how it goes because I can not bake worth a patooty!!!

By the way I highly recommend going to get some of these little gems they will make your tummy feel yummy and warm and your taste buds sing!!!

COLD RAISINS ANY ONE

So I no longer have a cleaning lady. She quit Thursday night (she comes on Friday). Oh well and by the way she did not give a reason (Billy says it is because I am to hard to get along with, whatever, just because I do not socialize with my cleaning lady does not mean I am mean....you need to be cleaning not talking I do not pay you to "busy body").

So I am going to do it myself, plus I will have extra money I can save for my ski vacation I am going to take next Feb. (if the market does not put us in the poor house first).

I should not say I am going to do it myself because my loving husband will help. So yesterday we did some chores and Billy did a very good job however, I found some stuff "hidden" and not put away. For example Billy please recycle the raisin box, Billy please put socks, undies and shoes away, Billy please take your sheets upstairs (he sleeps upstairs now because I am fat and p 50x's a night and plus he is all over the bed because of his shoulder). So the raisin box did not get recycled it ended up in the Frig, socks shoes and undies hidden under his dresser and sheets on the floor upstairs. I am so confused it takes as much effort to put the stuff away as it does to hide it so why hide it!!!!!! WEIRD!!!!

However just to let you know even thought he does hide his stuff he did a very good job cleaning the laundry room floor, cabinets and baseboards!!!!

SLUM DOG

Billy took me to the movies last night and we went to Slum Dog. Dothan AL finally got the movie (it takes a while for stuff to catch on down here it is still not in Enterprise).

It was oh so sad, I did not expect it to be so sad however, it had a super duper happy ending (thank goodness, when there is not a happy ending I can not sleep at night).

So if you have not seen the movie I highly recommend Slum Dog however, there is one scene that freaked me out and I will just call it the "poop scene." If you have not seen it you will know what the "poop scene" is when you do see it.... I am surprised the little boy did not get Hepatitis A!!!!

Danny Boy

As I have said I have two brothers. Paul and Dan, Dan is the youngest and lives in Nashville. Daniel is very easy to make fun of one because he is the youngest (and ohh so easy to make fun of) two because he is a metro sexual!!!!

For those of you who have never been to Nashville let me give you the low down. The young hip (so they think) kids are as I would describe as "country fashion forward." For example the men will ware their designer jeans with a tight shirt (cow boyish) and fancy boots (I hate this look I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to men: Levis and a button up and your hair needs to be short not shaggy).

So my brother Dan emails me a picture (he emailed me this picture so I could have more ammo to make fun of him, I know he did .... at least he is a good sport about being made fun of) of his boots, so here they are take a gander.

By the way I do not know where Daniel will be able to ware these boots because the dumb ass has been kicked out of every barn in Nashville (so have fun waring these at home watching your pirated videos dumb ass)!!!!

BILLY WILL EAT ANYTHING FOR MONEY

So this morning Billy and I had our normal breakfast of eggs and toast. After breakfast Billy went and played paint ball and I went for my walk. We met back at the house around 12 and ate lunch around 12:30 (just a reminder breakfast was at 7:00 a.m.).

As we were cleaning up lunch I said to Billy I will give you 100$ if you eat these left over eggs (that have been sitting out since breakfast). He looked at me looked at the eggs and did it with in a 10 second time frame!!!!!!!!!!! What, you did not just eat that did you (says Bern)? ..... Yes, I did, now pay up!

So I had to come up with 100 dollars which is a lot for me since we are on a budget (a tight one this year). So I have lost most of my spending money this month to gambling (never thought I would say that).

By the way my husband is officially gross for eating those nasty left over egg bits!!!!

GLUE STICK

There is nothing worse than licking an envelope, so I have an idea for you peeps out there ( this idea is not green i know because of the plastic when you could just lick the envelope yourself). Get a glue stick!!!! Now when I pay my bills no more licking the envelope and tasting yuck-o sticky crap on the envelope.

Not to mention for a little entertainment you can make fake buggers out of the glue and gross people out!!!!

A FEW IF MY FAVORITE THINGS

So my top three favorite things (in this order) sleep, food, and running. So how do you feel when your top three are taken away from you..... crap, crap, crappy!!!!

My dream in three weeks is to take one Tylenol PM and sleep for 10 hours straight.....however like I said that is a dream, I will have a new Friend that likes to eat every three hours (dam it)!!!

I think if women had babies and men had mammary glands that would be an even triad off (so women carry the child and men feed them.......ohhh wait even better if we were like penguins and women laid the eggs and the men had to keep them warm (all winter).... while men are keeping them warm we can eat, sleep and run or just go shopping).

My mother is coming to visit and she is bringing her dog YIPPY!!!! Here is our conversation recently:

Just to let you know my mother no longer wants to sleep upstairs she wants the room next to the nursery. Also she has left my dad by himself and he is having surgery tomorrow on his mouth and has to call a driver to come and pick him up!!! Sorry dad your wife is crazy!!!

TOXIC ASSETS

I am so sick of the press using the term "toxic assets" are they really toxic or are they undervalued (I am asking because I do not know and the press does not know either). For example is land really toxic .... no it is not it is undervalued. Is the automobile industry toxic, I do not think so they just need to figure a lot of crap out..........until America goes with out transportation (and I have not grown wings yet have you and my feet can only take me so far) I can not see the automobile industry going away, so really what are these toxic assets!!!!!

Just to let you know the Rockefeller's made the majority of their money in the Great depression buying up all kinds of "toxic assets."(refer to wikipedia) Especially land and buildings that were undervalued (ever hear of Rockefeller center)!!!

I wish the press would quit using these terms and realize that 10 years from now these "toxic assets" will be assets that everyone will wish they had purchased so cheap!!!!! Just to let you know things I would consider to be a toxic asset: asbestos (no one uses this anymore and if you had a warehouse full of it i really doubt anyone would buy it), opium (actually this would not be toxic you would just be an illegal drug dealer and probably make a lot of money), A cell phone from 1985 (these phones were big and expensive, I doubt if you put them on eBay for 5.99 anyone would buy them), and last but not least phen phen (remember that drug for weight loss in the early 90's it gave people heart attacks however I bet you could sell this crap to idiots that want to lose weight and do not care if they damage their heart). However, do you get what I am saying a toxic asset would be an asset that would never "move" or never be of use to our country again and I think loans, cars, land and all the other crap they are calling toxic are of value they are just having a bad day or a bad year!!!

DIAPERS

YUCK!!! Diapers I hate them I hate poop and p especially poop and p mixed together. I do not care how cute you are you will not make me like poop and pp.

So for the topic of diapers. I am going to try baby G. One reason I can go straight to the compost pile dump and bury or if I am lazy I can flush. No stinky diapers left in a diaper pail. I am also considering cloth diapers. Now these are not your mothers cloth diapers it is amazing what they are doing now with cloth diapers. However there is a lot more labor and water involved in cloth diapers.

MICHAEL MOORE

So Billy and I watched Sicko last night, not a bad flick. The first thing Billy said to me was Bernadette do not put this on your blog tomorrow. Well, I am not going to put anything about the movie on my blog I am just going to address socialized medicine.

On paper socialized medicine sounds awesome. Who would not want to walk into a bright, shinny clean clinic right down the street sit down fill in a little paper work get seen by the Dr. and leave and never ever see a bill. AHHH I WOULD I WOULD!!! However I feel that is a dream. A dream that would rely on honest politicians and Americans to implement a program where everything is run efficiently. I have not seen anything implemented by the government run efficiently(look at what is going on with TARP right now everyone wants a piece of the pie what happened to the green movement isn't that a "waste not want not" philosophy....hmmm maybe they only understand when it comes to getting elected) and I would not trust them with my health care.

I want my Dr. to strive for something better to always be looking for the best treatment and not having to follow the guidelines the government sets for him or her I want my Dr. to follow his or her guidelines (that is why I do my research on Dr's. I am the crazy annoying lady that will ask you 5 bazillion questions to make sure you are the Dr. for me).

So socialized medicine is it a good theory? Yes it is however, in my opinion it is only as good as the people running it. So I ask you who would you like to run socialized medicine for the United States of America ???? I pick Blagojevich (ha just kidding).

LIME GREEN AND ORANGE

So do you think my baby will go blind with these bright ass colors? Actually the picture makes it look more "lime green" than it really is because you can not see the white pieces that go with it. Once I get some art work on the walls it will be complete and my light fixture (my light fixture is a drum shade from 1963).

By the way Billy (and Scott) surprised me today by hanging the curtains. I just want you two to know I will take labor over any gift out there. Yes, I would choose someone to clean my house and yard over flowers, jewelry (well depending on the jewelry I do not want to be to Hasty), and yes I will say it CLOTHES, BAGS, AND SHOES!!!!

PAULY WALLEY

My brother Paul just turned 30 on the 1st of this month. I asked him how it felt to be old, I also asked him about his wrinkles and saggy skin.... He did not even understand what I was talking about (I do not think men obsess about getting old like women do ..... my thoughts and fairness on this subject can be discussed another time).

However my brother Paul lives in Chicago and is an architect (I may have mentioned this) he is now working for Rush Medical Center and works "off site." That means he works at the construction site I have shown you to your left. Last month it was snowy cold and wet and Paul stepped into a mud puddle and got mud inside his boot and up to his knee. Sorry Paul you should move to Alabama we do not have cold muddy puddles. Have fun the rest of the winter at the Construction site I will be thinking about you when it is 70 her in the month of February.

Oh yes did I mention my entire family went to Chicago last weekend to celebrate Paul's B-day.... everyone but me they even brought the dog.

YOUTH HAS PASSED ME BYE BYE!!!

So I am not 20 any more! I am not tight, I am not toned and I am not 135!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am completely and utterly aware of this. Not to mention I am being stretched to one end of the room to the other therefore, I will never be the same again!!! However I feel I am a master of disguises and I will be able to hide my old saggy parts and no one will be the wiser.

So Jennifer why oh why are you waring this dress. Bad, Bad your publicist should be in big trouble. You are still a pretty lady however you did just have twins and your tum tum may not be the same again. It is OK you can cover it up and still look beautiful. So next time keep the stripper dress at home and maybe go with a Calvin Klein or Donna Karen!!!

Yes it is 2:28 in the morning I am up with the acid reflux!!!! It is awesome!!!

STINKY FISH

So this morning I fixed my usual eggs and toast and to my surprise they stunk like fish.... So do not tell my cousin Anna (she does not like waste) but I threw them away. Then later today I went to get a drink of water from the tap, poured it out because it smelled like fish. Made a Salad for lunch could not eat it....guess what smelled like rotten, stinky fish. So I made myself a Pb&j instead (my taste buds have turned into the taste buds of a 7 year old child).

I am hoping this fish faze is going to go away soon because it is the most disgusting thing that has ever happened to me. Maybe tomorrow everything will smell like cheese cake and chocolate that would be much better.!!!!!!

BIRTHDAY BOY

Well yesterday was Billy's B-day. He did not get a cake (i bought a crappy one), he did not get a present (it should be here today), and he did not get a B-day dinner (i was so tired and we kind of got in a fight...my fault but i am blaming it on my tiredness).

I know I am a bad wife however, I figured I had an excuse(extreme reflux and exhaustion). But in all fairness Kitty (our cat) did not sing to him or get him a present either.

So Happy Birthday Billy hope today is better than yesterday. I bet you will feel better when we go to our baptism class tonight because I know how much you love going to church.

MY 12 WEEK CLASS IS OVER

Before I start on my Bradly Class let me let everyone know, how a mother and father decided to give birth is completely up to them and I am not telling anyone there is a right or wrong way of doing things I am just letting you know about how I am doing things. However, I still love the comments because I know one "Garg" imparticular who thinks I am crazy.... That is OK to each his own!.

So Billy and I finished our Bradley class last night and I am very glad. So I figured I would just let everyone know what I got out of it and why I have decided to go this way.

At first I decided to do the class because I was on the fence about drugs during labor I knew I did not want to use them however I did not know why. Well now I have done my research and I have taken my classes and here are the conclusions I have come to on, why I am going to do a Bradley Birth.

1.) Schedule: I love a schedule, and the sooner my baby is on a schedule the better. So one of the quickest ways to get your kid on a schedule is establish feeding. If you have a birth with out an epidural or pitocin (pitocin will keep your milk from coming in, in a timely manner) your baby will be much more alert and will be able to feed when it comes out of the "baby box."

2.) You will be able to walk around after giving birth and you will be able to get back to normal(walking will move your blood around and contract your uterus back, nursing will contract your uterus back also so for all you ladies that want their tummy to flatten out I recommend nursing if you can). If you have an epidural you are going to have to wait until the epidural wares off to walk around and even go number 1 or 2 (if there is any number 1 or 2 left). Not to mention when you have an epidural it is a vicious cycle of epidural (which slows the labor down) pitocin which speeds the labor up (and makes your contractions 3x's as worse as they really are), epidural again because you had pitocin, oh yeah here comes the catheter because now you will not be able to go to the bathroom by yourself.... wait there is more constant fetal monitoring (now you are strapped to the bed because they have to monitor the babies heart beat because the pitocin or the epidural may make your baby go crazy)..... wait there is even more, now you need an IV so not only do you have a tube in your "potty area" you have a tube in your hand and you have a band around your tummy to watch the baby. So do not plan on going any where until the baby is out of the "baby box."
3.) women who are not induced and do not receive an epidural only have a 10% change of having an Cesarean while women who have an epidural and pitocin have a 37% chance of having a Cesarean.

4.) I just can not bare being tied down to a bed

5.) giving birth in the squatting position opens your pelvis up 40% more than laying in a bed therefore easier for Mr. or Ms. baby to "head on out" you can not give birth in the squatting position if you have had an epidural because your legs are numb.

Now these are the reasons I have decided to go with the Bradley Method....however, I have not done it yet I may wimp out and decide to let the nurse stick that big ass needle in my spine!!!!! Now all I have to do is figure out if I am going to cord blood bank or not!!!!

Oh yes these reasons I have just given are not the reasons the Bradley teacher will tell you "you should try a Bradley Birth" these are my reasons. Bradley goes much deeper into what pitocin will do to your child, what an epidural will do to your child, what excercies you should do (every pregant women should do pelvic tilts this one is a must), what to eat (80 to 100 mg of protine a day and try to buy as much organic as you can) and how to establish a bond with your child. So if you ask a Bradley teacher "why should I do a Bradley Birth" they will not even address what I just blogged about.

Next baby topic "Baby Wise" how to get your baby sleeping thought out the night!!!! By the way if you do the Bradley Method and then do "Baby Wise" the Bradley people will think you are mean (Baby wise is a very strict schedule to get your baby to sleep and eat)!!!! So again to each his own!!!!

MILO

What is wrong with this picture? My parents are in New Orleans and my brother Daniel is whith them however, Daniels girl friend (Randi) is taking care of my parents dog. She sent me a picture of the MOO MOO HEAD after his bath. By the way Randi, you should charge my parents for this service because it is no easy task to watch over that dog. I recomend charging 1500 dollars a day or maybe 3500 a day!!!!

TO CORD BLOOD BANK OR NOT TO CORD BLOOD BANK

So at beginning of pregnancy one of the first things the nurse asked me was are you going to Cord Blood Bank? HMMMM well, first of all what is it and why? She really did not know so she gave me some info and I did my research (I did this research back in Aug.) I came to the conclusion there is a .005% chance that I would use the cord blood so why not donate it to someone who has a life threatening illness and they can use it. So easy breezy!!!!!! Ah no it is not easy, it is very hard to find someone in my area to take it. Now if I lived in a big city with a research/teaching hospital that would be easy they would come get it personally. So now what do I do, do I bank or do I throw away.

I have a hard time throwing away something like that, it would be like throwing away blood, or a liver (way maybe not as extreme as a liver those are pretty important) so what do I do..... If anyone knows anything about donating cord blood please let me know I do not understand why I can ship my cord blood to a bank but not ship my cord blood to a research hospital? Also I found some info (who knows if it is lagit) that if your kid does not use it there is a 75% chance that it will not be able to be used by someone in your family.

I am also feeling guilty about donating the cord blood beause eveyone is making me feel guilty for not banking it. So what would you do? Oh yeah and the only place you can find info on cord blood banking is from the cord blood banking institutes themselves (and they have some serious sales people they call you once a week if you sign up on their website to get info).

WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO?

Before I start on my Vaccine soap box I just want my readers to know I will Vaccine my child......The question is what Vaccines are necessary.

After working for the "Drug" industry for a year I am leery on their intentions. Bottom line to them is money (nothing wrong with money, I like money however, what comes first health or money). The drug companies find sneaky ways to teach Docs how to use drugs off label (ever hear of Cytotec, OBGYNS use this to induce labor.....watch out ladies this drugs side effect is "ABORTION" if you look in the PI it will state do not give to pregnant ladies...yet it is widely used, also known as miso, or misoprostol), they have lobbyist to get insurance, Medicaid and medicare to make their drugs mandatory first choice for scripts, they have drug reps that spend 250-300 a head on dinners to promote their drugs. So that being said I have to know my shit before I make a decision with drugs.

So now I have to find out what Vaccine does my kid really need? What is actually bad about a vaccine, is it the quantity of vaccines we give children or is it the content of the Vaccine? Oh yeah and when you do research, where do you get a reliable source of info(I am not a Dr. I do not understand all that crap)? If you go to Barnes and Nobel there are a bazillion books on vaccines? If you go to the Internet you find the radicals that say do not vaccinate or you must vaccinate (I want the person that says vaccines should be done al a cart for example the whooping cough is now making a come back so I will get that vaccine and so will my kid).

Oh yes just to let you peeps know I am not knocking the pharm industry (well maybe a little) I like them I need some of those drugs (especially tazorac after pregnancy is over my face will be line free again). If I ran a drug company I would run it pretty close the same way they do now,(however I would take away a lot of the drug reps and spend more money on educating nurses and docs on their field and drugs) again if you are a publicly traded company bottom line is profit and you do want the companies to make a profit so they can continue R&D (because I want them to come up with a pill that will make me look like I am 24 again).

So the first vaccine I have to make a decision on is hepatitis B: you contract hepatitis B either though blood or sex. Well as far as I know my baby is not sexually active and I do not have hepatitis B, so should I wait? Why does my kid need this? More than likely he/she will not get it from a blood transfusion since they check blood now, so the only way he/she would get it would be thought sex and since my kid will be perfect I will not have to worry about that until he/she gets married (you know since I was perfect).
